he Council of Swaziland Churches (CSC) is an ecumenical organization founded
in 1976. to further the unity of God’s church as the body of Christ by developing
strategies that enable Christians to be advocates of justice and peace in all
circumstances and dealings. The membership of the CSC includes various
churches, such as the Roman Catholic Church, the Lutheran Church of Africa,
Anglicans, Mennonites, and the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

The CSC of Swaziland Churches (CSC) has a founding mandate as a member of
the World Council of Churches (WCC) of being prophetic and provider of assistance to those in need, a facilitator of peace and conflict resolution, a builder
of socio-economic opportunities for all, a capacity builder of its membership, a
voice of the voiceless and a conscience of society.

The WCC has a strong presence not just in Africa but also in the Southern African
Development Community (SADC) with Angola, Botswana, Comoros, DR Congo,
Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, 6 July 2024 CSC Draft Strategic Plan 2024-2029 South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe as member states.

Eswatini is a small, open economy bordering South Africa and Mozambique. The country has a population of around 1.2 million, with an estimated per capita (Gross Domestic Product) GDP of $3,823 in 2023. Slightly more than half the economy is concentrated in services, and industry (particularly manufacturing) comprises another third. South Africa continues to be Eswatini’s main trading partner, accounting for about 65% of its exports and 75% of its imports.

The World Day of Prayer is an international, ecumenical movement of Christian women, celebrated annually on the first Friday of March. It originated in the late 19th-century USA and Canada as a, mission-focused prayer movement, uniting in 1922 and becoming a global, organized “World Day of Prayer” in 1927 to promote solidarity, justice and peace.
Awareness of violence against women in the world, November 25.
Women’s rights activists have observed 25 November as a day against gender-based violence since 1981. This date was selected to honour the Mirabal sisters, three political activists from the Dominican Republic who were brutally murdered in 1960 by order of the country’s ruler, Rafael Trujillo (1930-1961).

Receiving my certificate is not just an achievement but a reminder of the skills and values I have gained to help foster harmony in my community. This experience has empowered me to be a better servant of peace, and I thank the organizers for their dedication and vision .
